The Odyssey World Select has evolved from a Boys XVs invitational team founded in 2022 – to now having Boys & Girls 7s teams and a Netball squad participating at the Abu Dhabi World Schools Festival in 2024.
Selection is still open to anyone, regardless of nationality who wish to enjoy a festival like experience and forge strong bonds with like minded young athletes.
In 2022 we were delighted to have Wessel du Plessis (Bulls U20 Head Coach), and Mark Mapletoft (England U18 backs coach) running the squad. In 2023 Sean Graham (Nudgee College Director of Rugby), Katleho Lynch (St Johns College), Andy Martin (Tanglin Singapore Head Coach) ran the 2 squads
The Classes of 2022 and 2023 embodied everything the Odyssey experience was set up to be – creating lifelong friendships around the world through rugby.
Now Odyssey embarks on another journey with 7s and Netball.
